What is Coaching?

Coaching is about helping people to get from where they are now to where they want to be. A coach works with people to set and achieve their goals by:

  • Helping them to find clarity about what they want
  • Reviewing their current situation and what they’ve tried so far
  • Exploring options for action
  • Agreeing a plan to make it happen.

What is Mindset Coaching?

A Mindset Coach delves deeper into the above by helping clients to identify, remove and replace any beliefs, blocks, behaviours, habits and patterns of thinking preventing them from living the life they desire.

This is achieved by using a range of transformational techniques and tools that support positive and sustainable change.

How I Work 

Through telephone and online sessions, I support clients in breaking through mental and emotional barriers, discovering or rediscovering their strengths and abilities, exploring their potential and achieving life ambitions.

My approach to working with clients is to:

  • be non-judgemental
  • be supportive
  • provide accountability
  • be objective
  • constructively and gently challenge negative thought processes
  • help identify negative beliefs and transform them into positive ones
  • support clients in stepping out of their comfort zone, at their own pace
  • provide a platform for empowering clients to confidently face difficult challenges and overcome barriers.

One to One Coaching

While coaching can help anyone, the right fit in a coaching relationship is crucial because it ensures trust, mutual respect, and effective communication, which are essential for fostering growth, achieving goals, and creating a positive, productive partnership.

It’s important for a client to be ready for coaching because readiness ensures that they are open, committed, and willing to actively engage in the process of growth and change.

When a client is ready, they are more likely to embrace new perspectives, implement strategies, and take responsibility for their actions, which significantly enhances the effectiveness of coaching. 

It is also essential that the client is prepared to be honest with themselves, confront limiting beliefs, and push beyond their comfort zone. This proactive mindset allows them to maximise the coaching experience, leading to more meaningful and lasting progress toward their goals. Without readiness, clients may struggle to stay motivated, lack follow-through, or resist the changes necessary for success.
